THE BLACK PANTHERS
Dr. Huey Newton, Bobby Seale,John Huggins and Bunchy Carter, Eldridge Cleaver AND Marvin X
They are known AFRICAN AMERICAN POLITICAL ACTIVISTS.
They are the main founders and foundtion of the Black Panthers, they worked to fight the white supremacist acts of the Los Angeles Police Department in the black neighborhoods of L.A. Their colleagues were Elaine Brown, Ericka Huggins and other more-known figures to fight injustices against African Amrican Rural Areas. Mr. John Huggins and Mr. Bunchy Carter were assassinated in 1969 at the University of California, Los Angeles’ . A memorial is held for them each year on the UCLA campus. Dr.Newton disbanded the Black Panther Party and in 1989 he was shot to death. Many other deaths followed.
They all fought for freedom and were well educated. They may be gone but their Quest and sacrifice for equality will never be forgotten. Their legacy lives on through their family and friends.
