Combs, hailing from Harlem, began his journey in the music industry as a talent director at Uptown Records before taking the bold step of establishing his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. His influence and expertise have been instrumental in nurturing the careers of artists like the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher.

In 1997, Combs made a resounding debut in the music scene with his album “No Way Out,” which achieved an impressive seven times platinum certification. This success was followed by other commercially prosperous albums, including “Forever” (1999), “The Saga Continues…” (2001), and “Press Play” (2006).
