Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1974. and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same institution in 1977.

Lloyd Ward has held various executive positions throughout his career, including serving as chairman and chief executive officer of Maytag Corporation from August 1999 to November 2000, president and chief operating officer from 1998 to August 1999, and executive vice president from 1996 to 1998. During his tenure as CEO of Maytag, he made history as the second black executive to lead a Fortune 500 company.

Currently, Lloyd Ward is the founder & CEO of Ward Holdings International, LLC (WHI) to build bridges among entrepreneurs worldwide, providing access to capital and fueling great business ideas. sits on the Board of Directors of BodyBlocks Worldwide, LLC, and Belo Corporation. Previously, he held positions on the Board of Directors of notable companies such as General Motors Corporation, JP Morgan Chase Co., and Central and Southwest Utilities Corporation.

In addition to his corporate roles, Ward has been actively involved in various non-profit organizations, contributing his expertise to boards such as the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Ronald McDonald House, Dallas YMCA, Paul Quinn College, Jimmy Johnson Foundation, and Inroads of Southwest Ohio.

Lloyd Ward pursued his education at Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Xavier University.
