African Royal Ruler, and Champion Warrior
Queen Nzingha was the daughter of King Kiluanji. She took her royal role in NGOLA (which is now become Angola due to the Portuguese) in 1623.She was a resilient leader who had a passion and vision which she dedicated her entire life to fighting the Portuguese to prevent the enslavement of her people. She and her army of women and men was a worthy opponent to the Portuguese and became famous for her intelligence, bravery, and brilliant military strategies, which were imitated throughout centuries during struggles for independence throughout Africa and still used today.
