Percy Robert Miller Sr., born on April 29, 1970, is a prominent American figure who wears many hats in the entertainment and business world. Under his stage name, Master P, he has made his mark as a rapper, record producer, record executive, actor, and entrepreneur.
Master P is best known for founding No Limit Records, a record label that underwent several transformations, including relaunches as New No Limit Records through Universal Records and Koch Records, and later as Guttar Music Entertainment, finally settling as No Limit Forever Records. His entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond music as he also serves as the founder and CEO of P. Miller Enterprises. Additionally, he was involved in the creation of Better Black Television, an online television network, although it had a brief existence.
Master P’s journey to fame commenced in the mid-1990s when he gained recognition through the success of his hip-hop group, TRU. He further solidified his reputation with the release of his fifth solo rap album, “Ice Cream Man” (1996), which featured his debut single, “Mr. Ice Cream Man.” His star continued to rise in 1997, following the triumph of his Platinum single, “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!” In his prolific career, Master P has released a total of 15 studio albums.
