Memphis was Inducted into the Blues Foundation’s Hall of Fame in 1980.Blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose recording career lasted from the 1920s to the 1950s. She recorded around 200 songs. Minnie helped form the roots of electric Chicago blues, as well as R&B and rock ‘n’ roll.
