Board certified anesthesiologist and director of Pediatric Pain Medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He is also a UW professor of Anesthesiology and adjunct professor of Pediatrics. At Seattle Children’s Dr. Anderson developed a Pediatric Outpatient Pain Clinic and a Complementary Medicine Clinic which helps make the hospital’s expert care available to everyone.

Dr. Anderson earned his A.B. with honors in Biochemistry from Harvard University before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1982. He completed his internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, establishing a strong foundation in clinical practice. Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of innovation in pediatric pain care, securing research funding, publishing numerous scholarly articles, and speaking at international conferences. In 2001, he was recognized with the prestigious title of “World’s Best Doctor.”

He founded a national conference dedicated to pediatric pain management and a global event focusing on ultrasound-guided pediatric regional anesthesia.
